This book is a record of Alfred Arkell-Hardwick’s “expedition through Kikuyu to Galla-land in east equatorial Africa.” In 1899, he and a friend, George Henry West, started out on an expedition of British East Africa. The book describes the authors experiences, observations and adventures during this journey.
Arkell-Hardwick was born in 1878, and served as a member of the British South African Police from 1896.
